Pages from the Ash vs Evil Dead Necronomicon, just don’t read them out loud

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Yesterday we got our first look at Bruce Campbell as Ash in the new Starz series, Ash vs. Evil Dead, and today Entertainment Weekly has debuted several pages from the book which will once again bring our bumbling hero so much trouble. The Necronomicon is bound in human flesh, written in human blood, and has the ability to awaken evil and raise the dead; so to put it simply, this is not something you'd want a stock-boy toying around with. Oh shit.

Check out a few of the pages from the new Necronomicon Ex-Mortis below.

I was initially a little hesitant to get excited about Ash vs. Evil Dead, but damn if I haven't been getting pumped up with the few bits and pieces we've seen so far. We should get something more soon as Ash vs. Evil Dead will make an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con on July 10th. The panel will include Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, and Bruce Campbell, and Lucy Lawless.

Bruce Campbell on Ash in the new series:

This is a guy who thought he could just quietly live a life of quiet desperation and—no, he brings it back upon himself and the world, and he of all people must save the world from his own doing. That’s classic Evil Dead. Ash is basically responsible for everything.

The 10-episode first season of Ash vs. Evil Dead will air on Starz later this year.
