Paramount sets up sci-fi action flick dubbed as Die Hard on an alien spacecraft

Continuing their impressive roll of genre news, Variety has it that Paramount has just bought a sci-fi-action script from John Heffernan, who wrote that untouchable piece of cinema known as SNAKES ON A PLANE. Can’t be all bad then, right?!?

No title has been given to Heffernan’s new sci-fi script, though it’s being described as DIE HARD set on a distant alien spacecraft. If that proves true, we could have one hell of a flick on our hands, ay?

Mary Parent’s Disruption Entertainment is producing the flick, with Paramount in line to distribute.

This marks the second feature script for Heffernan, who it can only be surmised has been in writer’s jail since unleashing SNAKES ON A PLANE. What other explanation can be offered for a five year absence?

Expect to hear a lot more about this project in the future.
