Well folks to cap off a couple days of SAW madness we’ve got some news that, let’s face it, we were all expecting. Unfortunately we won’t be seeing PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 go head to head with SAW 3D this year.
According to Variety, Lionsgate have backed down from the fight by moving SAW 3D a week back to October 29th. Now the studio claims they want the series to go out the way it came in (SAW hit theaters on October 29, 2004) but let’s be honest, I’m sure PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 had something to do with the move. I mean now that Lionsgate are advertising the fact that SAW 3D will be the end of the franchise, they’re of course going to want the movie to go out on top right? A weekend opening against PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 might’ve put a stop to that. But now that SAW 3D is moving to October 29th there’s a good chance it’ll rule that weekend. Smart move guys!

The seventh installment of SAW comes at us from director Kevin Greutert and stars Tobin Bell, Cary Elwes, Costas Mandylor, Sean Patrick Flanery, Betsy Russell, Gina Holden (below), Tanedra Howard, Chad Donella and Shauna MacDonald. Be sure to keep it here for more on the highly anticipated SAW finale as we await SAW 3D: THE TRAPS COME ALIVE’s new release date: October 29th!
