Director William Malone is holding a special Event Screening
for his unique mind-bender PARASOMNIA this upcoming
March 5th at 7:30pm at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood. The event will feature a number of genre greats, which I’ll get to shortly.
But first, I’d like to tell you some info on the person for which the screening is in honor of: world-renowned Polish painter, photographer, sculptor, and fantasy artist, Zdzislaw Beksinski, who passed away in 2005.
Beksinski was a master surrealist whose influence can be seen in the works of many artists around the world, including Mr. Malone. He was murdered on February 21, 2005 at his flat in Warsaw. In honor of the artist’s great contribution to the creative arts, a number of his fascinating creations (like the one below) will be on display at the screening.

Again, here is PARASOMNIA’s plot: A young woman suffers from the titular condition that causes her to be asleep for most of her life due to a childhood accident. She becomes the obsession of a mesmerist who shared hospital space with her. The mesmerist now plans to invade her dreams to take control of her, but an art student who has fallen in love with her may be able to save her before it’s too late.
