Parker Posey is delightfully crazy in this trailer and poster for the indie flick Price Check

Parker Posey, the rather elusive actress who first hit most people’s radar with Richard Linklater’s DAZED AND CONFUSED, has bounced around Hollywood, sticking close to her indie roots, while toying with bigger ventures (BLADE: TRINITY for one).  From PARTY GIRL to THE HOUSE OF YES, Posey has seemed to find a niche, which revolves around the quirky female lead and it’s worked for her.  And, it looks like she’s following suit with PRICE CHECK, another off-beat character role for the actress, where she plays a marketing exec who gets a little too involved with one of her employees (Eric Mabius).

Take a look:

I’m kind of a sucker for indie films as they have the most opportunity to work outside of the norm, which usually brings out some compelling and intimate performances.  PRICE CHECK looks to have a lot of those ingredients.  I doubt it’ll be the most dynamic indie fare to premiere this year, but it does look engaging.  Posey is simply a fun and lovely actress to watch.  Her recent stint on Louie on FX was brilliant, moving, and crazy, which seems to embody her in almost all her roles.

PRICE CHECK will have a limited release on November 16, 2012.
