Patricia Arquette in talks to join the cast of Pixar’s Toy Story 4

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Somehow Pixar was able to beat the odds and produce a perfect trilogy which consisted of TOY STORY, TOY STORY 2, and TOY STORY 3, and for some reason they're tempting fate by heading back to that well once again for TOY STORY 4. Both Tim Allen and Tom Hanks will be back to reprise their roles of Sheriff Woody and Buzz Lightyear in the sequel which is to be directed by John Lasseter and written by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack.

The first new character of TOY STORY 4 may have been cast as The Wrap has reported that Patricia Arquette (BOYHOOD) is in talks to join the film as "a laid-back mom who’s described as a hippie." That brief character description doesn't give us much more information as to the story of this third sequel, which is said to be a standalone film chronicling the love story between Sheriff Woody and Bo Peep. Aside from Pixar's confusing desire to bring more CARS films into the world, I trust them enough to have faith that they will keep TOY STORY's track record intact.

TOY STORY 4 is set to open on June 15, 2018.
