The last “horror” film I enjoyed was James Wan’s INSIDIOUS. It wasn’t completely perfect but it was a way better effort than most are doing in the genre these days.
Next up for Wan is THE CONJURING. The film will focus on, “a husband and wife team of demonologists and psychic investigators who enter the most horrifying case of their career, spirits in a Rhode Island farmhouse.”
Currently Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are in negotiations to take on the husband and wife roles. The story is taken from the real life experiences of the Perron family and their ordeals in the 1970s. When the idea was scooped up, so were the life rights to the Perron family and the paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren.
The film will shoot this March in North Carolina.
