This month marks the 10th anniversary of the untimely death of Paul Walker in a car accident. And while tributes poured in upon the tragic news and his Fast and the Furious character was given a touching sendoff in Furious 7, the real legacy may be within the family, as one of his surviving brothers has said daughter Meadow has “grabbed the torch” from him.

Speaking with People, Paul Walker’s brother, Cody – who, along with Caleb Walker, stood in as doubles to help Furious 7 wrap – said that Walker undoubtedly lives on through his daughter, Meadow. “She’s pursuing a career that’s extremely difficult, but she’s finding her own way and she’s landing success, and he’d be so proud of her.” He added that if he could tell his brother anything, he would say, “I’d want him to know that she has just grown to be such a beautiful young lady.” Meadow Walker, who was 15 when her father died, is currently working as a model.

Meadow Walker made her silver screen debut in a cameo in Fast X, which she said was a tribute to her father. On this, she said, “I was just waiting for the right moment, and I wanted to do something super small and simple that was almost like an Easter egg. If you didn’t know who I was, you wouldn’t even notice it…My dad was very humble, very simple, so I thought the best way is to have a special little moment.” She briefly appears as a flight attendant.

Cody – who also has a hand in The Paul Walker Foundation, for which Meadow serves as CEO – said that he learned quite a bit from his older brother, recalling, “What I learned from Paul was how quickly these little things grow up…Paul was tormented by the fact that his daughter was growing up so fast. He was so busy with his career and trying to juggle all of that.”
