Man oh man, it’s slow ass news days like today that afford us the opportunity to shed some shine on some lesser known indie horror efforts. And that’s exactly what I’m shooting your way with this here article. You see, a flick known as DEADFALL TRAIL has just been brought to our attention, and we not only have a quick little rundown of the flick for you, we’ve got a bloody trailer and even gorier clip for y’all to chew on.

Marking the debut feature length film from writer/director Roze (THE DENIAL), DEADFALL TRAIL tells the story of:

John, Julian and Paul enter the Kaibab National Forest for a three-week survival trip and peyote vision quest. The only items they take with them are a knife, a bottle of water and a garbage bag each. A week into their journey a disastrous turn of events changes everything and the men are forced to ultimately confront the darkest corners of their morality and mortality. Battling the elements and each other, the quest becomes to make it out of the forest alive.

Kinda like FROZEN with peyote, set in the forest. Which I can definitely dig. How about yourself?

Candice Rose (DEAR BEAUTIFUL) co-writes, with Richard Anderson, Cavin Gray Schneider, Shane Dean, Slade Hall, Neal Trout, and Katrina Matusek comprising the minimal cast.

Big ups to B-D and QE for the drop!

Take a look at the two videos below and unload a clip with your first impression. Beware though, the second vid is literally titled “Bloodbath”!
