A month ago to the day we laid eyes on the first image from Ben Wheatley’s A FIELD IN ENGLAND. Well, looks like they’ve used the central figure from said image and crafted a nifty poster out of it. Cop a gander underneath of the mysterious alchemist known as O’Neill.

With Michael Smiley, Reece Shearsmith, Richard Glover, Ryan Pope, Peter Ferdinando and Julian Barratt starring:

A FIELD IN ENGLAND follows a small group of deserters fleeing from a raging battle through an overgrown field. As they are captured by O’Neil, an alchemist, they are forced to aid him in his search to find a hidden treasure that he believes is buried in the field.

Crossing a vast mushroom circle, which provides their first meal, the group quickly descend into a chaos of arguments, fighting and paranoia, and, as it becomes clear that the treasure might be something other than gold, they slowly become victim to the terrifying energies trapped inside the field.

Wheatley still has SIGHTSEERS awaiting release in some parts, so we’ll likely have to wait a bit for a FIELD trailer. Who knows though, this guy’s working at a break-neck pace. Oh, and the poster claims a 2013 UK release.
