The last time we heard from the BURKE AND HARE camp, John Landis just signed on to direct the project way back in November (relive the memories HERE). The boys over at Dread Central have scored some interesting news regarding the flick that should pique your interests up once again for the project.

According to DC, who sat down and chatted it up with Landis at the Monster-Mania Convention, Simon Pegg is on board to star in the flick, about the true story of William Burke and William Hare, serial killers who sold the corpses of their 17 victims to the Edinburgh Medical College for dissection.

That’s right people, the star of SHAUN OF THE DEAD is stepping into the horror genre once again with the legendary Landis in the director’s seat. Does it get any better than this? Wow. I don’t even know what to say, other than… wow!

While this hasn’t been confirmed in the trades, it comes straight from Landis’ mouth, but I suppose there’s a sliver of a chance that it could be bullshite, but I highly doubt it. Pegg and Landis? Talk about good times ahead!
