VICKY CHRISTINA BARCELONA did not give Woody Allen enough of his Penelope Cruz fix.
Cruz gave EW the exclusive that she would be working with the director again. The first time Woody teamed with Cruz was in 2008 for VICKY CHRISTINA. That role earned Cruz the best supporting actress award at the 2009 Oscars.
There wasn’t much Cruz could say about the project with Allen, “I know [what I’m doing next], but the thing is that I have to ask the director what I can say and what I cannot say. Because he’s very secretive. It’s…it’s a movie with Woody Allen. But I really cannot say anything about the story or the characters.” Maybe she’ll be making out with other hot actresses?
Allen says that his next film will shoot in Rome, it’s likely that it could be this un-named project with Cruz. MIDNIGHT IN PARIS, Allen’s upcoming film, will open in select cities on May 20th the same day as Cruz’s PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES.
