Oh man, it really doesn’t pay to have an imaginary friend these days. Variety is reporting that the man you brought us BEVERLY HILLS COP and TOY SOLDIERS has plans to bring WILSON to life this summer.

Who’s Wilson, you ask? No, not Tom Hanks’ blood-splattered volleyball (although that’d be pretty cool). The flick’s about a family who adopts a little girl, who happens to have a violent imaginary friend named Wilson, a la HIDE AND SEEK style. Judging from this sweet teaser poster, I’d say we’re all in for a treat on this one!

Warning: SPOILER on HIDE AND SEEK ahead!

Let’s just hope it doesn’t fall into the stupid ‘split personality’ trap SEEK fell into, and that there’s an actual supernatural element to all of this.

No word on casting just yet, but filming is set to begin this summer.
