Pig: trailer unleashed for Nicolas Cage-led horror film

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

So this looks potentionally interesting! NEON has just releasd a surprisingly somber and atmospheric trailer for their upcoming dark horror-thriller Pig, starring Nicolas Cage (Season of the Witch, Gone in 60 Seconds)!  You can check it out at the top of the article!

Here's the official synopsis:

A truffle hunter who lives alone in the Oregonian wilderness must return to his past in Portland in search of his beloved foraging pig after she is kidnapped.

Honestly, pretty intrigued by this one. You see the title Pig, and see that Nicolas Cage is starring in it, you're expecting some shenanigans (possibly with Cage voicing said Pig like Eric Roberts in A Talking Cat!?!). But, alas, it's much somber and subdued, which is probably better. NEON also has a pretty good track record, quality-wise, so I'll definitely give this a shot at some point.

But what do you guys think? And what's your favorite Nicolas Cage performance? Either way, sound off below!

Meanwhile, Pig – directed by Michael Sarnoski (in his feature debut) and also starring Alex Wolff (Hereditary) – has no official release date as of yet, but we'll keep you posted!

Pig is also written by Vanessa Block and Sarnoski, produced by Cage, alongside Pulse Films, BlockBox Entertainment, Valparaiso Pictures and Cage’s Saturn Pictures, as well as produced by Dimitra Tsingou, Thomas Benski, Ben Giladi, David Carrico, Adam Paulsen, Dori Rath, Joseph Restaino, Steve Tisch, and writer Vanessa Block. Escape Artists and Sweet Tomato Films co-financed alongside the majority financier, Len Blavatnik’s AI Film.
