Alright folks stay with me here because I’ve got a pretty packed PIRANHA 3D update for you all today. Hell the party is only a couple weeks away so why not get stoked for it with all kinds of goods?!
First up we’ve got a couple new posters for the film for you guys to check out. Actually one is a banner and the other is a familiar new one-sheet. Above you’ll find the brand new banner for the film, which is coming at us all the way from Russia. If you click through on the shot above you can scope it out in high-res over at JoBlo’s Pimpin’ Poster Palace. Then if you scroll below you’ll find the latest one-sheet for the flick, which bears a striking resemblance to a couple previous PIRANHA 3D posters. I’ve tossed up the other two posters as well so you guys can compare. At this point does new posters even matter? You’re either stoked for this shindig or you’re not.
Now that we’re all caught up on the new imagery we’ve got a few new PIRANHA 3D videos for you guys to check out. Over in our videos section I’ve just tossed up five, count em five!, new TV spots for the film. Now each spot offers up exactly what you might expect from a TV spot, so there’s no surprises there. And lastly it seems PIRANHA 3D star Ving Rhames recently paid a visit to “George Lopez Tonight” and brought a little toy with him. Check out a photo of Rhames on the show below and scope out the release:
Ving Rhames – who this week revealed to George Lopez on Lopez Tonight that he would be coming back to the Mission Impossible series appearing in MI: 4 – plays a bad-ass sheriff battling fierce, prehistoric, sabor-toothed piranhas in his upcoming flick PIRANHA 3D, opening August 20th. In the movie, he uses anything he can find, including the sharp blades of an outboard boat motor to chop the piranhas to bits! And Ving Rhames wasn’t too shy to bring a huge chainsaw with him when he appeared on George Lopez’s Lopez Tonight – he joked with the funny host that he brought it with him in case there were any piranhas around….and he didn’t mean the Hollywood kind!
There you have it folks! A nice jam-packed PIRANHA 3D update to get you guys stoked for the flick if you’re not yet. But let’s face it… you are. This gore-fest is coming at us from the genius mind of Alexandre Aja and is due to hit theaters everywhere August 20th!
