Piranha & Row updates

It’s not everyday a struggling writer gets to see his work made into a movie, and not only is it happening to Josh Stolberg, but it’s happening twice! Stolbeg is the dude behind SORORITY ROW and PIRANHA 3D (yeah, two remakes), and he recently updated the word via his blog as to the status of both films.

The biggest update has to be from SORORITY ROW, which is apparently locked, loaded, and ready to roll! That is, the film’s officially cut together and finished. Check it out: It’s everything I was hoping it would be. Scary. Funny. Tense. Stylish. Bloody. Sexy. I really think Stewart Hendler did a fantastic job with the directing. And after having a few movies made where I don’t feel real ownership over the script, this is one that I really feel came out how Pete and I wrote it.

Very f*ckin’ cool! Not that the writer would be talkin’ shit about a movie that he wrote, but it’s nice to see that the film lives up to his vision… let’s hope his vision doesn’t suck. But I figure he didn’t have to say anything, so the fact that he said something positive is a good sign.

Stolberg also hit up the set of PIRANHA 3D, now filming in Lake Havasu, Arizona, and it’s true… it’s as awesome as all the reports are saying it is. Check it out: The film is going to be HUGE. On a couple of the days we were there, there were literally like 600 extras in bikinis and dozens of boats and cranes and scuba divers trampolines in the water. It was sick!!!

That’s what I’m talkin’ about. To check out all of the man’s updates, including the status of his upcoming comedy MAN-WITCH, click HERE, and get ready for more on SORORITY ROW and PIRANHA 3D as we near their release dates!
