Just yesterday we were hit up with some glamorous shots of the leading ladies from PITCH PERFECT 2, and now we have the first trailer here to give you a taste of what's to come. While the synopsis has been surprisingly kept under wraps like a J.J. Abrams flick, the plot looks to focus on a tournament held every 4 years where a capella groups from around the world compete. Will the Bellas bring home the gold? The suspense is too much!
PITCH PERFECT didn't break the mold with its plot, but it threw together a charismatic ensemble and delivered a refreshing burst of energetic storytelling. Similar to HORRIBLE BOSSES 2 later this year (did I just make that comparison?), I feel a lot of people are looking forward to returning to these characters. As long as they keep the laughs and the solid tunes coming, we should be in for a treat! The first film won me over with Anna Kendrick singing naked in a shower. If they happen to throw that into the sequel, I wouldn't dare bust them for rehashing.
PITCH PERFECT 2 hits theaters on May 15, 2015.
