A dance choreographer who earned an Emmy nomination for his work on 2001's Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Celebration, Glenn Douglas Packard has now embarked on a new path in the entertainment industry, making his feature directorial debut with the slasher PITCHFORK.
Packard wrote the screenplay with the film's executive producer Darryl F. Gariglio, and the pair are aiming very high with this one. The tagline on the newly released poster is "Every generation has its monster", giving away the fact that Packard and Gariglio are hoping that their PITCHFORK villain will join the ranks of the horror genre's slasher icons. This is intended to be the first installment in a franchise centered on "a broken and misshapen beast on a rampage fueled by secrets and betrayal."
The synopsis:
Having recently shared a life-changing secret with his family, Hunter recruits his friends to come with him from New York to the farm where he grew up as he faces his parents for the first time. As the college students enjoy the fresh air of Michigan farm country, an older, more dangerous secret slowly emerges. While Hunter navigates a new place within his conservative family, a vicious creature from their past descends on the farm, putting the unsuspecting city kids in mortal danger.
The cast includes Brian Raetz, Lindsey Nicole, Ryan Moore, Celina Beach, Keith Webb, Sheila Leason, Nicole Dambro, Vibhu Raghave, Rachel Carter, Andrew Dawe-Collins, Carol Ludwick, Derek Reynolds, Addisyn Wallace, and Anisbel Lopez as the potential victims of Pitchfork, who is played by Daniel Wilkinson.
