Pixar to bring you TV special Toy Story of Terror in 2013

Toy Story 3 all the toys together

The titular characters of TOY STORY 3 have already been seen in several shorts since their last cinematic adventure back in 2010, a trend that looks to continue with Pixar’s announced Halloween special titled TOY STORY OF TERROR.

While it would be incredible if this was airing in just a few short weeks, were going to have to somehow muster the patience to wait until 2013.  Which isn’t at all an appealing thought, but then again, it’s better than no more Toy Story at all.  Or tapeworms.  Those are no fun either.

The plot for TOY STORY OF TERROR goes a little something like this: “what starts out as a fun road trip for the Toy Story gang takes an unexpected turn for the worse when the trip detours to a roadside motel. After one of the toys goes missing, the others find themselves caught up in a mysterious sequence of events that must be solved before they all suffer the same fate in this Toy Story of Terror.”  Sounds like a bit of Scooby Doo, a bit of PSYCHO, and a whole lot of awesome.
