MONTREAL, CANADA, April 19, 2005 – Movie Seals
Productions and Blood & Bullets Productions’ urban action-drama Pain Killer,
starring John Fallon, Anna Jaeger, Deke Richards and Claudia Jurt commenced
principal photography on location in Montreal, Canada on April 19th.
It was announced by Christian Viel, President of Movie Seals Productions. The
film also stars Kevin Kelsall, Neil Napier, Marcello Bezina and Carmen
Echeverria.
A Movie Seals Productions
presentation in association with Blood & Bullets Productions & Dragon Films,
Pain Killer is directed by Christian Viel (Recon 2020, Samhain) and
produced by Christan Viel, John Fallon and Jean-Pierre Ménard. Dragon Films,
Movie Seals Productions, Blood & Bullet Productions and JoBlo Media Inc. will
serve as executive producers on the project. Jeremiah Hamilton is the director
of photography, Anderson Bradshaw is the production designer and Christian Viel
is the editor for the Director’s Cut while Benoit Marcoux is the editor for the
general release. The special effects are being supervised by Mark Reichel, while
the stunt work is being handled by John Walsh.
Based on a story by John Fallon
and Christian Viel, the screenplay to Pain Killer is written by John
Fallon. Ex-undercover cop turned biker Rane (John Fallon), witnesses the brutal
murder of his pregnant wife Jaimie (Anna Jaeger) by his crew who have learned
about his old policemen days. Shot through the head with a crossbow and dumped
into a canal, Rane is believed to be dead…but he miraculously survives the
ordeal. Upon his exit from the hospital, he arms himself to the teeth and goes
on a drug fueled, psychotic rampage, all in the name of unapologetic
retribution.
Pain Killer
is currently negotiating distribution deals
for all worldwide territories. The film is scheduled for release
in 2006.
