Plague Gets Lee

It appears that Christopher Lee, horror legend extraordinaire, is revisiting his roots. After a short detour towards Dark Lord type sci-fi characters (Count Dooku in STAR WARS, Saruman in THE LORD OF THE RINGS), Lee has signed on to star in the Irish horror film A PLAGUE OF SPIDERS. First time feature director Andrew Baird will helm. No word on the plot yet, but the medieval horror will be shot in either Budapest, Hungary or Bucharest, Romania beginning in February 2005, and is being produced and financed by Concorde-New Horizons studio in Los Angeles.

I have to say that I LOVE Christopher Lee. There’s just something about his presence on screen that kicks ass. It’s like every time he looks at somebody, he’s trying to decide how best to eat their heart. Gotta love it. Hope the project turns out to be worthy of your esteemed presence.
