Paramount Pictures is lining up the collaborations with production company Platinum Dunes after the success they shared with this year's A QUIET PLACE (pictured above). The pair already have a feature expansion of the short film MEET JIMMY in the works, and now Dunes is set to produce a home invasion film called HAPPY ANNIVERSARY for the studio.

Scripted by Holly Brix, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY is described as "WAR OF THE ROSES meets CHEAP THRILLS", which is already enough to catch my interest. The story centers on

a happily married couple’s anniversary celebration, which goes awry when they find themselves victims of a sinister home invasion.

I'm a sucker for home invasion stories, so I'm really looking forward to watching this project get put together.

Brix previously worked as a story editor on The Vampire Diaries, in addition to writing the direct-to-video sequels THE CUTTING EDGE: FIRE & ICE and THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT 3: REVELATIONS.
