Playtime is over as possession looms in the new Annabelle Comes Home trailer

Those afflicted with Pediophobia might want to book a vacation to a distant planet this June, because two of Hollywood's lethal legends, Chucky and Annabelle, are taking the summer month by storm. Scheduled for some panic-inducing playtime on Friday, June 21 is director Lars Klevberg's CHILD'S PLAY, with the third installment of New Line Cinema's Annabelle franchise, ANNABELLE COMES HOME, looking to log a playdate on Wednesday, June 26.

Hailing from The Counjuring universe, ANNABELLE COMES HOME marks screenwriter Gary Dauberman's directorial debut. For the film, Dauberman will continue the tale of Demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren, who are determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc. After bringing the possessed doll to the locked artifacts room in their home, the Warrens place her “safely” behind sacred glass that has been embued with a priest’s holy blessing.  But an unholy night of horror awaits as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who all set their sights on a new target—the Warrens’ ten-year-old daughter, Judy, and her friends.

The film stars CAPTAIN MARVEL's McKenna Grace as Judy; Madison Iseman (JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE, GOOSEBUMPS 2: HAUNTED HALLOWEEN) as her babysitter, Mary Ellen; and Katie Sarife (SUPERNATURAL) as troubled friend Daniela; with Patrick Wilson (AQUAMAN, INSIDIOUS) and Vera Farmiga (BATES MOTEL, GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS) reprising their roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren.

In addtion to directing the film, Dauberman also wrote the screenplay, based on a story he'd created with The Conjuring universe maestro James Wan. Meanwhile, Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Victoria Palmeri, Michael Clear, Michelle Morrissey and Judson Scott each served as executive producers.

The film is set to open in theatres and IMAX on Wednesday, June 26, 2019.
