Poe loves the Cox

JoBloJoBlo

Great burly Scotsman Brian Cox continues his (welcome) campaign to appear in every third movie in production.

The former Lecter is now part of TELL-TALE, the contemporary version of Edgar Allen Poe’s macabre (and rather brief) murder story “The Tell-Tale Heart”. The movie, from director Michael Cuesta (DEXTER, SIX FEET UNDER), stars Josh Lucas as a heart transplant recipient compelled by his new pumper to seek revenge on the donor’s killer(s). So, creative license, then.

Cox will play “the old cop, like the Morgan Freeman part in SEVEN who comes in and tries to solve the case,” and says that he’ll be investigating “how this surgeon is finding body parts and bumping people off.” The movie comes from Tony and Ridley Scott’s production company Scott Free, with a script intriguingly described as “JACOB’S LADDER meets MARATHON MAN.”
