Polish slasher Nobody Sleeps in the Woods Tonight is coming to Netflix

Directed by Bartosz M. Kowalski, the slasher film NOBODY SLEEPS IN THE WOODS TONIGHT – which is being referred to as "the first Polish slasher" – was supposed to receive a theatrical release in Poland back in March. Due to the pandemic, it ended up going straight to Netflix in its home country instead… and now Netflix is set to bring it to the rest of the world as part of their "Netflix and Chills" Halloween season event. The movie will be available to watch on the streaming service, whether you're in Poland or not, as of October 28th.

Kowalski wrote the script with Jan Kwiecinski and Mirella Zaradkiewicz, crafting the following story:

Addicted to technology, a group of teens attends a rehabilitation camp in the forest, but a sinister force there intends to take them offline forever.

Here's an alternative synopsis:

The movie begins innocently enough – a group of technology addicted teenagers finds themselves in an off-line camp. However hiking in the woods with no smartphone in sight will not go as planned. They will have to fight for their lives against things they never have seen before, even in the darkest reaches of the Internet. Faced against the dangers lurking in the forest, they will find true friendship, love and sacrifce. Will they come out of it in one piece, or in bloody bits?

The film stars Julia Wieniawa, one of the most popular actresses in Poland, alongside Sebastian Dela, Stanislaw Cywka, Wiktoria Gasiewska, Michal Lupa, Piotr Cywrus, Olaf Lubaszenko, Gabriela Muskala, Miroslaw Zbrojewicz, Wojciech Mecwaldowski, and Michal Zbroja.

Ahead of the release, a bunch of images have been released online and can be seen below.

I was sold on NOBODY SLEEPS IN THE WOODS TONIGHT as soon as it was described as a slasher, and the fact that it's from Poland adds an extra level of intrigue to it. I will definitely be watching this movie next month.
