Polycarp One Liner

Here’s something that will make you wish you had 11 Grand laying around. The Children At Heart Gala Charity Dinner, co-hosted by Steven Spielberg and Jon Voight, took place over the weekend, which is a charitable event for sick children. Among the many cool things that were auctioned off, like a role in BABY GENIUSES 3, was a one-liner in Kenneth Del Vecchio’s new horror flick POLYCARP!

Going for a whopping $11,000.00, the lucky bidder will have a walk on role in the movie and a line to mutter.. probably on the screen for all of 5 seconds, but hey! That’s what $11K gets you these days!

Joking aside, it’s cool to see a charity like this succeed, especially now that it’s around the holiday season, and what a cool idea, auctioning off a small role in a movie. Talent agent Joycelyn Engle had this to say about the event:

POLYCARP , though what it’s about is beyond me, but it does star Charles Durning, Michael Pare and 1991 Miss USA Kelli McCarty (pictured). Filming is set to begin this January, with a scheduled premiere of June 1st at the Hoboken International Film Festival in New Jersey. Keep yer eye out for that one liner, and stay tuned for filming updates as we hear them!
