Postal Propoganda

Uwe Boll is arguably one of the worse directors of the current generation of directors making films today. And while I haven’t had any beef with the guy on a personal level (except still wanting my money back for HOUSE OF THE DEAD), his latest drivel known as POSTAL is striking all the wrong nerves in my body… what is this tasteless crap?

There’s a new ‘official site’ of sorts out now for POSTAL, which is more like a propaganda site, setting a stage for the tone and utter garbage that this film will likely be. Set under the pseudonym NEW YORK POSTAL (clever, eh?), the new SITE plays like a News site, but with headlines that deal with Boll (Boll Confesses: YES! My Movies Are Financed with Nazi Gold!), and with POSTAL itself (POSTAL goes Taliban), all in a tongue-in-cheek tone of self mockery, and attempted humor. I say attempted, because (to me) it plays more like flaming poop on a stick, and is just not funny (though now that I think about it, flaming poop on a stick is actually pretty funny- this, however, is not) .

But it’s worth a gander, if only to have another reason to hate Boll, and if only to have another reason to NOT see this sorry excuse for a movie. To see what I mean, check out the NEW YORK POSTAL, and get ready to throw tomatoes at your computer screen.
