Word came our way of an upcoming independent flick by the name of IDIOT GORE. The horror/comedy slasher is written and directed by Joshua Hull. Jim O’Rear, Shawn C. Phillips and Kaylee Williams star. Check out the teaser trailer and poster for it below.
The movie is currently in pre-production and will begin filming in Indiana this September for a 2012 release. It’s described as a TROPIC THUNDER meets HALLOWEEN, which sounds like an interesting combination. Keep up to date with the film on Facebook.
Gus Pruitt is a survivor. In high school, he survived a brutal massacre and went on to write numerous books on the experience and star in a reality show. Years later, Gus has fallen from best selling author to out of work writer. His once popular show has now become a trainwreck. He hits rock bottom when his show is replaced by a new, popular reality show dealing with slashers.
When the new show has a bloody run in with someone from Gus’s past, the survivors seek Gus and his crew out for help. As both crews unite and discover a masked slasher hunting them down, it’s up to Gus Pruitt to save the day!
Blood and hilarity ensue when it’s revealed Gus may not be 100% honest about who he is!
