Predator gets another film from 10 Cloverfield Lane director

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Huh. So it seems that, even after the financial and critical failure of Shane Black's THE PREDATOR from 2018, Fox still intends to make another PREDATOR film. Don't get me wrong, it makes sense that they'd make one eventually, it's just surprising how soon.

But what's really exciting is that Deadline is reporting that the new PREDATOR film will be helmed by Dan Trachtenberg, who directed the awesome sci-fi thriller 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE, starring John Goodman and Mary Elizabeth Winstead!

No clarification on if it's going to be a reboot or sequel, and as for the story itself, the article states:

They are keeping the plot line under wraps for the moment, but…it won’t swing back to the developments in the most recent film.

Obviously no official start or release date at this time, but we'll keep you updated!

So what do you guys think? Fans of the PREDATOR franchise? If so, looking forward to another one? Either way, sound off below!
