Producer says Stranger Things Covid delays made new season its best!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

It's no secret that STRANGER THINGS was hit particularly hard and early when it came to shutting down production due to the current Covid-19 pandemic. However, in an interview with Collider, producer Shawn Levy (who was there to talk about his other Netflix show DASH & LILY) remains optimistic, stating:

I’ll just say the pandemic definitely massively delayed shooting and therefore the launch of our current Season 4, date still TBD. But it impacted very positively by allowing the Duffer brothers, for the first time ever, to write the entire season before we shoot it and to have time to rewrite in a way that they rarely had before so the quality of these screenplays are exceptional, maybe better than ever.

This is good to hear – though, I'm sure there's some marketing/damage control going on in those statements as well. But let's hope he's right, as I was sort of lukewarm to the latest season (though it definitely had its moments!), and hoping the show can rebound!

Meanwhile, STRANGER THINGS season 4 has no official release date, but is expected to premiere on Netflix sometime next year!

So what do you guys think? Fans of the show? If so, excited for the new season? Either way, sound off below!
