Producers get Jealous

The rising success of PARANORMAL ACTIVITY seems to be benefiting just about everyone involved–except for the actors involved, but I’m sure their time will come. Director Oren Peli scored a gig directing AREA 51, and now ACTIVITY’s producers Steven Schneider and Jason Blum have a new flick in the works as well!

So what’s the flick? It’s called THE JEALOUS ONE, and it has that twisted thriller appeal that Afred Hitchcock used to rock back in the day. Check it out: based on Celia Fremin’s 1985 book, [THE JEALOUS ONE] centers on a wife who dreams she murdered a woman who might be tempting her husband, only to find the woman has in fact disappeared.

Dun-Dun-DUNNNN! Sounds pretty neat to me, and my money’s already on the wife killing this chick. But I guess we’ll have to wait and find out if I’m right until the flick comes out–or if you have the inclination to read the book the movie will be based on.

Writer Carey Malloy is on board to adapt the film to the big screen. Haunted houses to murderous wives… I can’t wait to see what these guys do next!
