Rumpus Room Productions has commenced production on THE APP in New York. The film stars Sean Faris (NEVER BACK DOWN; pictured above), Sarah Roemer (DISTURBIA; pictured below), Frank Deal, James Saito, and Leslie Marshall. It is being directed by Dena Hysell off a script by Isak Borg and Golan Ramras.

Described as Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Tell Tale Heart” for a digital age, the film depicts a brilliant mind’s descent into madness. Plot details beyond that are hard to come by.

“With all the scientific advancements coming through in rapid succession, we found the idea of showing the both sides intriguing. There’s the glossy success and the other side of the coin where human frailty lurks – drawing us as viewers more deeply in,” states Dena Hyselll.

Don’t confuse this with the similarly-titled APP, which we reported on earlier in the year.
