Today is just a day for posters. Earlier we saw the new international poster for DEATH SENTENCE (right HERE), then the teaser posters for BEOWULF (right HERE), and now we have one more poster for ya: David Cronenberg’s EASTERN PROMISES.
While it appears to be steering away from the all-out horror side of things, I have a feeling we’re gonna get more of the macabre and violence Cronenberg delivered so well with A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE. Which is flippin’ awesome, as that was one of my favorite movies to hit 2005.
Maybe I’m saying that because Viggo Mortensen is back here as well, but really… it’s just the overall feeling this poster (and the awesome trailer) has. Is it the tats on his hand? Is it the fact that it looks like he’s holding a gun (but you can’t see it)? Is it all that black and white? What it is, all I know is that it’s slick, baby!
EASTERN PROMISES, starring the oh-so-hot Naomi Watts, hits theaters September 14th.
