Chances are this is not only ours, but your introduction as well to Halcyon International’s upcoming horror thread THE MUMMY: RESURRECTED. Let’s see if this is the kind of company we want to keep for some time to come…

Dubbed as the second film in the STILL NIGHT MONSTER MOVIE SERIES, THE MUMMY: RESURRECTED is based on the Bram Stoker novel, JEWEL OF THE SEVEN STAR. The story revolves around a team of archaeologists who discover an ancient mummy, releasing it from its eternal tomb.

Pretty vague, ay? In fact, who wrote and directed the film seems to be up in the air. No mention of the filmmakers is made on the Halcyon website, although it seems the film is currently in post-production for a 2012 release date. Thankfully, we do have a good look at the promo poster for the film, which you can scope in full underneath. As you can see, it admonishes: an ancient evil has arisen!

As we work toward more info on THE MUMMY: RESURRECTED, let us know how you’re digging the initial promo material.
