Quantum Leap: Gone But Not Forgotten

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

This week on Gone But Not Forgotten, we're taking a look at one of the most beloved sci-fi shows of the early nineties, the great Quantum Leap! Starring Scott Bakula as Dr. Sam Beckett, a brilliant scientist who finds himself trapped traveling through time after an experiment done wrong, with Dean Stockwell as his faithful hologram sidekick Al, the show stands as one of the most iconic shows of the series. What made it so good? In addition to Bakula and Stockwell, the show also never really stuck to one genre.

Given the nature of the show, some week's Sam's mission would be action-packed and exciting, while in other weeks it would be straight drama or even comedy. Truly it was a one of a kind show that, in a pre-internet era, even beat cancellation thanks to one of the biggest letter-writing campaigns in TV history. So join us as we follow Sam on his quest to "put right what once went wrong, hoping each time that the next leap – will be the leap home!"
