Man Thing R L Stine Marvel

Stephen King. Dean Koontz. Richard Matheson. R. L. Stine. Even though the Goosebumps scribe writes horror for younger audiences, that doesn't mean he's not just as iconic as the other great writers of our time. So it's huge news that today it has been announced that Stine will be teaming up with Marvel for a five-issue comic series.

He will pen the further adventures of MAN-THING, illustrated by German Peralta and others. Man-Thing, who was created during a botched attempt to replicate Captain America's super-soldier serum, will spend this series

fighting “an ancient and mysterious danger” while also struggling to find a life outside the swamp.

Says Stine:

I’m going to do a lot of action and a lot of great violence and make it creepy, but I’m going to make it funny at the same time. It’s what I try to do in my books.

I can't wait to see how he brings his trademark brand to comics, but we'll have to wait to see it until March 2017.
