Director David Martín-Porras's psychological thriller THE CHAIN seems to have somehow been flying under the horror community's radar up to this point, but now that I have stumbled across some CHAIN information it appears to be worth drawing some attention to – especially with iconic actors Ray Wise and Adrienne Barbeau in the cast.

Written by Martín-Porras with Andrés Rosende, THE CHAIN has the following synopsis:

When Mike finds out that he has the same neurological disease as his father, he decides to enter a chain of assisted suicides, which operates under one rule: if you want to die, you must kill someone first.

Wise will be playing the ailing father, with John Patrick Amedori as his son Mike. Madeline Zima is on board as Mike's wife, and I'm assuming that Barbeau is playing his mother. I could be wrong on that one, though. Also in the cast is Jamie Clayton.

THE CHAIN was filmed in Los Angeles over the summer, with La Panda Producciones Audiovisuales, Kamel Films, Malvalanda, and White & Purple Media producing.

With a solid cast and an intriguing story, I think THE CHAIN will be one to keep an eye on as it progresses toward distribution.
