Earlier this month I eased your fears a little about the rumored RE-ANIMATOR 3-D with an article about Stuart Gordon’s just-as-surprised-as-we-are reaction to the news that producers Brian Yuzna and Roy Haboush were planning on putting the original into the remake-o-matic. Wellllllll maybe all is not quite well just yet.
ShockTillYouDrop spoke with Haboush, and learned that we may indeed see a glossier take on the headless shenanigans in the future. “We have been discussing amongst ourselves the idea of remaking Re-Animator, in 3D, however, at the moment, it is still only a concept.”
Haboush also spoke about the completely ridiculous rumor that Elisha Cuthbert is attached to star. “This current rumor about Elisha Cuthbert appearing in the remake of Re-Animator is just that – a rumor… Actually the whole idea that we are remaking the movie this summer, in Spain nonetheless, is completely off base…especially as no talent – writer, director, nor actor – has been attached to this project in any capacity whatsoever.”
So mostly good news on this front, although I won’t pretend that I’d hate seeing Elisha Cuthbert being “pleasured” by a disembodied head. Don’t judge me!
