If you think KISS THE GIRLS and ALONG CAME A SPIDER were the best detective-thriller movies in the past decade, then I have some good news for you- if not… well, we’ll see how this pans out.
James Patterson’s sequel to both GIRLS and SPIDER, entitled ROSES ARE RED, has been greenlit, and Ben Ramsey (LUKE CAGE) is set to adapt the novel into screenplay form.
RED pits the Morgan Freeman character (Alex Cross) against a bankrobber known as ‘The Mastermind’, who’s signature move is to hold employees and family members hostage. Sound exciting? If you’re into watching grass grow, this one might sound like the best movie EVER!
No casting decisions have been made yet, but I can’t imagine the now Oscar winner Freeman jumping for the role. Then again, if he gets to costar along the likes of hotties Ashley Judd and Monica Potter again, maybe he’ll return for more!
