Who would have thought that a horror flick with a title as strange as REEKER would turn out to be such an amazingly well-written, deep, and thrilling ride?! I thoroughly enjoyed it and am totally psyched for the upcoming sequel NO MAN’S LAND: RISE OF THE REEKER. Last month, my man Eric gave us a bunch of pics from numero dos to whet our appetites. Now, today we have the first full trailer! And yes, REEKER 2 looks just as awesome as its predecessor… and different!
See, this second REEKER is actually a prequel (hence having RISE OF in the title’s sub-heading) which gives us a look into how said villain came to be as well as who he actually was! The trailer really does look fantastic and of course your pals at AITH have conveniently posted it for you below. Do yourself a solid and check it out. A sheriff and his son chase casino robbers, only to find the all of them are being chased by something else.
RISE OF THE REEKER was written and directed by the original’s Dave Payne and stars Stephen Martines, Mircea Monroe (below), Robert Pine, Desmond Askew, Valerie Cruz, Lew Temple, and Ben Gunther. You can check out the official website here. Look for it on DVD October 14th 2008.
