So did anyone actually believe Tara Reid when she said that she was doing THE BIG LEBOWSKI 2 this year? I mean, if you did whatever, but that’s one movie I never counted on to have a sequel.
Matthew Odam, blogger for Austin 360’s The M.O. spoke with Joel and Ethan Coen and mentioned Reid’s comments.
Are you ready for this Earth shattering news?
Ethan had a good laugh then responded with, “I’m glad she’s working on it.” Odam then asked if they actually did have anything regarding the BIG LEBOWSKI 2 in the works to which Ethan said, “Well, we don’t but we’ll watch it when it comes out.” Joel then added, “Especially if Tara’s in it.”
Reid’s people quickly jumped all over her big spill by telling Entertainment Weekly this, “She heard Jeff Bridges say that he wanted to make ‘Big Lebowski 2’ and have all the original cast members in it, so she may have misspoke, thinking that included her based on what Jeff said.”
I’d love to see a second LEBOWSKI especially if Bridges and everyone else was back on board. Unfortunately I can’t be sure if this will happen or not. Well, until then we’ll just have to tide ourselves over with AMERICAN PIE 4. Rest in peace Donny.
