Rick and Morty fans have been treated to a bloody Samurai adventure with the release of a new anime-inspired short that is sure to please anyone looking for a Rick and Morty fix.
The new short aired on Toonami on Saturday night and is entitled "Samurai & Shogun". In the short, Samurai Rick, or Rick WTM72 as his enemies call him, is featured as an alternate universe Rick with unparalleled swords skills. The short features a Japanese voice cast with English subtitles and was written and directed by Kaichi Sato. The short is clearly hear to give fans something to enjoy while they wait for the second half of season 4.
Rick and Morty follows the wacky inter-dimensional adventures of the crazy-yet-brilliant scientist, Rick Sanchez and his naive-yet-tough-if-he-needs-to-be grandson, Morty Smith. An episode of the series typically has Rick and Morty traveling to an alternate universe, dimension or a new world where the meet various unique characters. The show is insanely popular and is a cornerstone of the Adult Swim lineup.
