At the tender age of 77, Ridley Scott clearly isn’t sitting on his hands at all. Scott is currently preparing to shoot PROMETHEUS 2, just as his latest film THE MARTIAN gets ready to roll out across the globe. Even with those two massive sci-fi films on his plate, the famed director has just launched “Ridley Scott Presents,” a new genre label that is an offshoot of his Scott Free Productions.

The first film on tap for Ridley Scott Presents is THE TWISTED, which was written by Ari Schlossberg (creator of Harper’s Island) and set to be directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi (THE FOURTH KIND, EVIDENCE).

THE TWISTED is set…

in the mountains of Sierra Nevada, where strange things are happening to the children at an isolated orphanage. A child psychologist with a haunted past must team up with a parapsychologist and his cameraman to interview the children, who take a terrifying and twisted turn for the worse.

“We are very excited to be launching this new label with such an exciting and provocative project,” said Ridley and Giannina Scott. “The goal is to produce genre films from filmmakers who have a unique voice and a captivating vision. We hope it’s the start of many more to come.”
