Though all of the talk regarding PROMETHEUS‘ shooting schedule has revolved around the Pinewood Studios in England, the Hollywood Reporter today reveals that the Ridley Scott film has already begun production – or something very close to it – in Toronto.

The Canadian city is home to Pinewood Toronto Studios, a massive soundstage that has been home to such flicks as SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD and THE THING prequel. PROMETHEUS will shoot there for three weeks across seven stages before shuffling off to London for what is allegedly a four to five month stay. Meanwhile, Pinewood Toronto will be where Len Wiseman’s TOTAL RECALL settles down, starting in May.

Charlize Theron, Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba, Rafe Spall and Michael Fassbender have all been cast in PROMETHEUS, which opens on JUNE 8, 2012.
