Richard Kiel, who famously played the towering steel-toothed villain Jaws in two Roger Moore-era James Bond films, has sadly passed away at the age of 74.

The 7 foot 2 inch Kiel got his start in early-1960s TV, appearing in such series as "Laramie", "Thriller" and "The Rifleman". He appeared in the 1962 sci-fi feature "The Phantom Planet" before landing one of his most iconic roles in the classic "Twilight Zone" episode “To Serve Man,” where he played a representative of an advanced, giant alien race called the Kanamits, who alight on Earth amid what seems to be peace and good will.

Kiel, whose body of work consisted of many genres, also appeared in several horror and sci-fi films, including the titular role in 1962's EEGAH, 1963's HOUSE OF THE DAMNED, and two episodes of the cult classic 70's TV series "Kolchak: The Night Stalker".

Kiel would have turned 75 on Saturday.
