One flick I find myself really looking forward to is Robert Schwentke’s R.I.P.D.. This shite has had my attention ever since Ryan Reynolds signed on and it seems the cast for this thing has just been getting more and more impressive.
Today we’ve got even more casting news for R.I.P.D. but unlike previous announcements this latest cast member hasn’t done much. According to the guys over at Bloody-Disgusting relative new-comer Tobias Segal is the newest name to join the project. Unfortunately there’s no telling what character Segal (right) will be playing but we’ll go ahead and roll with it anyway.
Welcome to the Rest In Peace Department — the devoted, yet dead, officers of divine law enforcement “patrolling the deadbeat…reporting to one boss.” Yep — THAT boss. Nick Cruz was murdered by an unknown assailent, at the height of his personal and professional life. Now he’s traded a hundred years of service to the R.I.P.D. in exchange for a shot at finding who killed him. Unfortunately his search will take him to Hell and back — literally!
Along with Reynolds and Segal this awesome cast also includes Jeff Bridges, Mary-Louise Parker, Kevin Bacon, Stephanie Szostak, Marisa Miller, Mike O’Malley, Robert Knepper and James Hong. Currently filming in Boston, R.I.P.D. is set to hit theaters everywhere on June 28, 2013.
