Rise Poster/ Trailer

What you’re looking at here is the first OFFICIAL ONE-SHEET for Lucy Liu’s vampire ‘epic’ RISE: BLOOD HUNTER. And yes, contrary to it’s appearance, this is the poster for the theatrical release of the flick, and NOT the DVD. I only say that because… well, it looks like nothing more than DVD cover art for an STD release. For shame!

Maybe it’s that strip of red at the top letting us know what other successful horror flicks the producers of this film have been involved with in the past, but for the love of all that is holy and true, this has to be one of the worse movie posters I’ve ever seen!

But it’s a vampire movie starring one hot chica, so no matter what, people are gonna check it out. If you head over to Dread Central, you can check out the first OFFICIAL TRAILER for the film as well. The verdict? Crap. It looks like Straight to DVD fare at best, which pains me because not only do I like Liu in just about everything she does, but I’m also a fan of hot chicks in lingerie (which there are aplenty of in the trailer), and that dude from THE SHIELD is pretty badass too. But this movie? It’s not looking too well right now…

But what the heck do I know, right? Click HERE to check out the trailer, and spit some bullets below on YOUR thoughts on this movie. Is this the next BLADE… or the next BLOODRAYNE? I guess time will tell, as RISE: BLOOD HUNTER is scheduled to hit theaters (yes, theaters) June 1st.
