Audiences were given small glimpses of the new Road House remake when Jake Gyllenhaal was shown to be filming scenes for his character’s MMA career at UFC 285. The public would get to see the fighting shape Gyllenhaal is now in, which amazingly puts his physique in Southpaw to shame. Additionally, the crew would film a weigh-in where Gyllenhaal’s Elwood Dalton plays up his intensity for the attending crowd. The movie is slated to premiere on Prime Video next year, although, a trailer has yet to be released.

Those anxious to see more from it can check out the new 2024 preview trailer from Amazon, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, which showcases a number of movie and TV projects set to be released on Prime Video. According to EW, “We first see a brief glimpse of Gyllenhaal looking absurdly muscular in the middle of what appears to be an underground fighting ring. Later, we witness Gyllenhaal’s character take on a large group of adversaries in a dimly-lit parking lot. He hits an antagonist in the face and sarcastically asks, ‘Oo, I just slapped you, are you alright?’ before proceeding to obliterate the rest of the group with his agile mixed martial arts skills.”
