Rob Zombie offers more looks behind the scenes of 31

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

The wait to hear a release date announcement for Rob Zombie's latest film 31 continues, just as the musician/filmmaker continues to post behind-the-scenes images from the making of the film on his social media accounts.

The latest batch of pictures Zombie has been kind enough to share give a look at a graffitied set; the writer/director conferring with actor Richard Brake, who plays the character Doom-Head, an evil fellow Zombie has said may be horror's next great villain; Zombie, special effects artist Wayne Toth, and Lew Temple's Psycho-Head hanging out while all three display good fashion sense; a screen shot from a color timing session; and proof that 31 will continue Zombie's streak of having nudity in every one of his films. He has censored out the NSFW sections of the image.

Starring Brake, Temple, Malcolm McDowell, Sheri Moon Zombie, Meg Foster, Judy Geeson, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Jane Carr, Ginger Lynn, Daniel Roebuck, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Pancho Moler, Tracy Walter, E.G. Daily, Torsten Voges, David Ury, Bari Suzuki, and Devin Sidell, 31 is about

five carnival workers who are kidnapped the night before Halloween and held hostage in a large secret compound known as Murder World. Once there, they have 12 hours to survive a terrifying game called 31 in which “The Heads” – murderous maniacs dressed as clowns – are released to hunt them down and kill them.

It's always nice to see that Zombie has given fans another glimpse at the making of the movie, but I am more than ready to see some frames of the film itself run back-to-back in rapid succession. Wouldn't Halloween have been the perfect time to release a trailer? Oh well. Back to waiting…
