Tone-Deaf Richard Bates Jr. Robert Patrick

A trailer has arrived online for TONE-DEAF, the latest film from EXCISION and TRASH FIRE director Richard Bates Jr., and it looks like this one is going to be a fun ride. Starring Robert Patrick as a man who has always wanted to know what it would be like to kill people, the film is a home invasion horror thriller that has been described as "a darkly comedic critique of the bizarre cultural and political climate."

Amanda Crew plays a millennial named Olive,

who after losing her job and imploding her latest dysfunctional relationship, leaves the city for a weekend of peace in the country, only to discover the shockingly dark underbelly of rural America.  She rents an eccentric, ornate country house from Harvey (Patrick), an old-fashioned widower who's struggling to hide his psychopathic tendencies. Soon two generations collide with terrifying results…

Hayley Marie Norman and Ash vs. Evil Dead's Ray Santiago also show up in the trailer, which has an amusing tone and some crazy visuals. So yeah, there's no way I'm going to miss this one.

Saban Films will be giving TONE-DEAF an On Demand and limited theatrical release on August 23rd.

Check out the trailer below and find out if this looks like a must-see for you.
